NOVA Corporation is organizing its 1st
Annual 5K Race for the Nation to be held in Chambersburg, PA on August 31,
2008. Running legend Billy Mills (winner of the 1964 Olympic Gold Medal for
the Men’s 10,000 Meters) will be on-hand for the event as the official race
starter. The 5K Race proceeds will be donated to the following non-profit
organizations:
- The Southwest Indian Foundation Housing Program

employees to attend a mission trip to

NOVA Corporation donated $20,000 to Diné College in Tsaile, AZ. The donation will be used to sponsor the educational portions of the Diné College 40th anniversary celebration. The education portion is directly related to Navajo history and language preservation.

Corporation donated $5,000 to the St.
Michael Indian School’s (SMIS) "Green" Energy Saving Project. The
school’s energy consumption for the 2007-2008 school year was 41% higher
than the previous school year. The "Green" Energy Saving Project will
help the school reduce their energy consumption so they will be able to
use more of their resources for the students instead of the utility
bills. The project will be implemented this summer.

NOVA
Corporation donated $2,000 to the
Navajo Language
Renaissance (NLR). The
NLR is a non-profit organization dedicated to the revitalization and
preservation of the Navajo language.
The NLR has partnered with Rosetta Stones’ Endangered Language
Program to produce Rosetta Stone Navajo Level I, II, and III.
Once produced, it will be used in schools, libraries, Chapter
Houses, and homes across the Navajo Reservation.
The software will not be sold commercially. Donations are
tax-deductible and can be sent to Navajo Language Renaissance, P.O. Box
1111, Cornville, AZ 86325.

Native American Youth Entrepreneur
Camp (NAYEC) to be held in July 2008.
NAYEC will host 30 Native American high school juniors and
seniors at the
